Well, we promised you it would be a good one, and we think it more than qualifies.
This year, the focus and theme of the Scavenger Hunt will be terrifying.
Well, maybe more like Super-Scary.
Scary for Mochimochi Land, that is!

We are pleased to let you know that this year, Anna Hrachovec, the author of Super Scary MochiMochi Land, and Potter Craft, the publisher, have graciously consented to be part of our fun in a very real way, and they will be the subjects of the Scavenger Hunt.
As all yarn crawl regulars know, every year we like to conduct a scavenger hunt that encourages everyone to visit each and every shop. After all, every shop you visit has its own distinct personality and every shop you visit increases your chances of winning one of the raffle baskets. If you visit all of them, you are one fantastic fiber fiend. So, how fitting to give you little "fiends" to find.

In each store there will be a scary little knit monster, with a number attached to it. You find the creature, write down the name of the store and the number you find attached to it. When your list is totally complete (you've visited each and every store), you will have 11 names and numbers. Then just email them in to our trusty monster wrangler/numbers keeper and we'll notify you ourselves. The person to send them to this year is: phyllis@knittingandhowe.com. Names will be picked, at random, and the first 3 that get it right will be notfied by one of our regular assistant monsters.
Now about the monsters: They are really not very scary at all, but they like to think they are, so if you pretend to be a little scared, they will find it very satisfying!

Here's a little hint:
They are very proud of being the stars of this book, so they never go anywhere without one!
